The Asthma Society of Canada
Canada has one of the highest incidences of asthma in the world - a total of three million Canadians. Each year, 500 Canadian adults and 20 children die from asthma. Eighty per cent of these deaths are preventable with education and good asthma management. The only national registered charity that focuses solely and comprehensively on asthma education and research.

The Arthritis Society
As the premiere source of current information about arthritis, we help people take control of the disease. Our staff and volunteers are committed to supporting people with arthritis to help them to better manage their disease.

Australian Multicultural Mental Health Network
Established in 1995 as an initiative under the first National Mental Health Strategy. Research has shown that people of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds under utilise or are often unaware of the different mental health services available to them. ATMHN is a national body that links State and Territory transcultural mental health centres and networks with the goal of improving mental health outcomes for Australia’s diverse communities.

Canadian Cancer Society
A national, community-based organization of volunteers, whose mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer.

Canadian Diabetes Association
With over 150 branches across the country, the CDA is the largest non-governmental supporter of diabetes research, education and advocacy. Together with its sections and councils, its employees and volunteers, the CDA plays an invaluable role in the everyday lives of the over 2 million Canadians who live with diabetes.

Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (US:CDC)
CDC serves as the national focus for developing and applying disease prevention and control, environmental health, and health promotion and education activities designed to improve the health of the people of the United States.

Center for Research on Chronic Illness (North Carolina)
One of nine centers funded by the National Institute of Nursing Research (NIH) to promote excellence in nursing research. The center includes 13 federally funded research projects, a pilot study program, and a range of services to advance research on preventing and managing chronic illness in vulnerable people.

Cornucopia of Disability Information
CODI serves as a community resource for consumers and professionals by providing disability information in a wide variety of areas. It consists of both an Internet Directory of Disability Information and a repository of electronic disability documents, dating back to the early 1990s. Many of the documents on CODI are publicly available nowhere else on the Internet. International Resources, databases, directories, statistics, publications, organizations.

Disabled People's Association of Singapore(DPA)
We conduct computer training for people with disabilities to improve their skills and knowledge to contribute to the Republic. We are a Resource and Research, Information and Communications Centre for the Handicapped (RRICCH). From September 2002, DPA will be conducting E-Learning courses for people with disabilities. This is the first of its kind in Singapore and Asia-Pacific region for people with disabilities.

Epilepsy.com
Created to inform and empower patients and families living with epilepsy. We offer a roadmap to understanding the epilepsies, how they touch people's lives, and the options for treatment. To assist in following that roadmap, we also offer a forum for community and the sharing of insights by patients and caregivers. We seek to enable more productive relationships with caregivers, more effective care, and better lives for those with epilepsy.

A reliable source of information on heart disease, stroke and healthy living. Currently, the largest non-commercial source of funds for heart disease and stroke research in the country. Our mission - to improve the health of Canadians by preventing and reducing disability and death from heart disease and stroke through research, health promotion and advocacy.

Mood Disorders Association of British Columbia (MDA)
Support and education for people with mood disorder, their families and friends as we build an understanding community. People with a mood disorder... Unipolar (Depression), Bipolar (Manic Depression) or Panic Disorder are invited to contact the MDA. We offer support and friendship for those with the illness and their support people.

The National Cancer Institute of Canada
acts in concert with its partner the Canadian Cancer Society, and with the Terry Fox Foundation, to provide support for cancer research and related programs undertaken at Canadian universities, hospitals and other research institutions.

National Down's Syndrome Society
Established in 1979 to ensure that all people with Down syndrome have the opportunity to achieve their full potential in community life. Since that time, this not-for-profit organization has become the largest non-governmental supporter of Down syndrome research in the United States. Today, NDSS continues to increase public awareness about Down syndrome and discover its underlying causes through research, education and advocacy.
